Size: 6.3 mm
This and another species (apparently) of dance fly were present in an area that was fairly dark and sheltered from the light wind. I did not see them form the famous lek but I will keep watching for it.

Looks like a pretty good match to me. I was already thinking of that based on a photo (in Iowa) by M.J. Hatfield.
