We recently bought a home and have been cleaning and painting. These spiders have been showing up over the last week. The previous owner moved out so the home was vacant for a couple of weeks and the only thing we have in the home are cleaning and painting supplies. I am concerned that this may be a Brown Recluse. I can see the distinct fiddlehead on the cephalothorax but don't have the means to see if it has six eyes or eight.
