Millipede - Cherokia georgiana

Millipede - Cherokia georgiana
Somerville, Morgan County, Alabama, USA
September 28, 2014
Size: 44mm
I don't usually dabble in myriapods, but I thought, "Hey, this is a distinct looking, well-patterned millipede - should be easy enough to ID." Ha. I'm pretty sure I'm in the right tribe (Apheloriini), but I'm completely stuck and can't figure out if this is Apheloria, Brachoria or Sigmoria ... or something else altogether. Any help is appreciated.

Ah-ha!
So it seems I was more correct with "something else altogether," haha. Many thanks Dr. Shelley for the correction and identification. I rarely stray too far from my lepidopteran sphere and am quite surprised to find such a wide diversity of millipedes ... and the number of look-a-likes!

Thanks again for such a quick identification.
