American Lady For Illinois In May - Vanessa virginiensis

Data posting for this butterfly in Illinois, for the month of May.

I hope to get a much better image to upgrade this post with. I'm pretty certain this is an American Lady and that I saw it on a few days late last month, too. But, I didn't get a good enough photo then to even attempt to post with. I wish I could add the data, though.

Looks right to me.
Did I mention Vanessa Migration Project? They're interested in any sightings of Ladies and Red Admirals and are logging the info at a website.
