Cicada Killer Wasp - Sphecius speciosus

Size: 1.5 inches
I had a burrow under my carport this summer. I could never "catch" a live specimen, but the neighbor found this one dead in her yard. These things are HUGE (for a wasp)and just the size of them is quite frightening when the fly past me.
