Moved from Ptinini.

this group is tough and still poorly understood
not sure about genus, you'll probably have to send the material to a specialist, getting a good id from these pics is unlikely

Who would you suggest that I send these to?

that's... a really tough question
they will probably have to wait some time
it doesn't seem that the species-level taxonomy of the nearctic ptinines receives any attention at this point

i'm very fond of this group and will do my best trying

Actually, I got an ID from Keith Philips just a few days ago. This is Pseudeurostus kelleri. Here are his comments about collecting them: "I collect material (dung and detritus) and put a bit in a light colored plastic bowl and try and spot the adults. The adults play dead for various lengths of time- so you may not see any moving. Winkler or Berlaise extraction works easily too with this type of material."

thank you so much again, Kevin -- nice addition
i was under the impression Keith is too busy working on higher ptinine taxonomy -- so happy he came up with a species name this time!

having two spp. in the genus, both with 7-letter patronymic epithets ending in -lleri is bound to confuse
