Callibaetis ferrugineus
Hi Al-
My goodness, what stunning photographic images you take! Yes, I share your belief that this female subimago is
Callibaetis ferrugineus
. As to the "orange thing near left front leg", I believe it to be a parasite, which appears to have attached itself both fore and aft, with its body is hanging from the attachment points, hammock-like.

Thanx
Hi, Roger. Thank you for the compliment. An entomologist sent me an e-mail earlier today, "Yes, it is indeed a water mite larva (Prostigmata: Parasitenonga: Hydrachnidiae), but I can't tell what family. It looks rather desiccated and is probably dead. Al, based on the cloudy wings I assume this mayfly is a subimago rather than an imago?".
