Gray Hairstreak? - Satyrium favonius

Gray Hairstreak? - Satyrium favonius
Brazos Bend State Park, Texas, USA
May 5, 2007
Size: ~2 cm; complete guess
They all look the same to me though.

Moved
Moved from Hairstreaks.

OK
Thanks for the correction.

Hairstreak
Certainly not a Gray. I would think this is more likely S. favonius, Oak Hairstreak. Might be a slight range extension if it is. And in your area I don't think there are many lookalikes, though, God knows you are in Hairstreak country.

Sorry, both, for any confusion
It seemed so obvious at the time. I need to think before I comment!

You've nailed it!
But someone nipped it first.

Wonder how we look to them? Probably not too cosmetic.

Thanks
Thanks for the ID. I imagine we look like humongous pumpkins or something to them. :)
