Entylia carinata
Albion, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
June 5, 2015
I don't know if you need any more of these guys, but it's a data point for Michigan in June. They were on my thistle this afternoon but I didn't get the pictures I wanted - poking the camera through dense prickles. This evening about 8:15 I went back out and got some better pictures. All of a sudden, big black ants with silvery back ends came running and started tending the treehoppers. If anyone knows what the ants are, I'd love to know. Thanks for your consideration.
