... I'm pretty convinced by your initial ID but let's see if someone else can confirm it.

Oliver, this one is a problem for me. I think it looks like Misogada unicolor because of the brown scales of the head tuft, but MPG does not show Florida in its range. M. unicolor feeds on Sycamore and Cottonwood. This is well into the range for Florida, so it has to be .
