Pseudosiobla

Pseudosiobla
Big Spring Run, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA
June 4, 2015
Observed a dozen or so of these feeding on a small Cephalanthus occidentalis, buttonbush. Most of them looked like this one: white, with a blue head and black spots. At least appeared with a slate-gray-blue body color and the same markings.

Thank you!
I rarely encounter juveniles of anything. I've never seen a sawfly that I know of, immature or adult.

This was on a field trip to a wetland restoration site. They succeeded!
