I photographed this on the side of our garage today about 4:00 PM. The temperature was 7 Celsius. I think it is a Cluster Fly but I'm not certain.

The hairy thorax is the giveaway. It's one of my favorite flies, but I haven't been able to get a head shot as nice as yours. (Note that the veins in the wings are the same as in your other post.)
