Port Coquitlam (near Vancouver), British Columbia, Canada
May 19, 2015
Size: 1/2 - 1 inch
I have lived in current home for 21 years. Don't recognize this bug. We have found a dozen of these around the house over the last month. Mostly in the bathroom but have found a few in other places around the house. The bug can move quickly.

Silverfish
Thank you for your response, yes it does appear to be what this is. I've seen/heard of silverfish around this region but usually a bit smaller. Also, any idea if they're harmful to humans or anything else? I have a real problem if I get bit by about anything, always allergic. Thanks again, Karen
