On the basis of appearance and range considerations, I suspect this is False Crocus Geometer, Hodges# 6740 (Xanthotype urticaria), a species not presently represented at BugGuide.net. However, I am aware that it may not be possible to identify members of this genus without direct examination. This moth was out and about at midday. At first glance, I thought it was a sulphur butterfly. I don't know if this observation helps with identification.
