This ID is thanks to Doug Yanega! Doug remarked on BG on FB, "If any of the serious bycid folks wonder why I don't think this is mimeticus, note that it has black running almost the entire length of the elytral suture; I've never seen mimeticus with that trait, though several "color morphs" of alpha do. This species complex is a major PhD project just screaming for a student to do some good genetic work."
