tiny moth with smooth head and sheathed antennae ... is this genus Phyllocnistis ? I'm not finding one to match.

By my eye, it looks pretty close to
Species Phyllonorycter lucidicostella - Lesser Maple Leaf Blotch Miner - Hodges#0765 ?

except for the smooth head
the markings are similar. But I'm under the impression that the smooth head makes it a different genus than Phyllonorycter. I'm not an expert on these tiny moths, though. Thanks for weighing in!

Totally missed that - thanks for correcting me and explaining. This site has taught me so much; but there is a daunting amount that I have to learn!

These generally can't be reliably identified without host plant info, though.
