something related, I believe
elytra appear smooth, with some scarce punctures only, and the long seta near shoulder is somthing I also do not know to occurr in Quedius.

A lucky species ID
...and an awesome photo. This is indeed a species of
Quedius
. The strange condition of the elytra that Boris commented on is actually a diagnostic feature of the subgenus Quedionuchus. Lucky for us 'Northeasterners' there is only one species: the Holarctic
plagiatus
Mannerheim.
