Rove Beetle - Habrocerus capillaricornis

Rove Beetle - Habrocerus capillaricornis
Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada
May 6, 2007
Size: 3.7 mm
Looks like Tachyporinae for sure, although the really slender antennae are throwing me off. Any ideas on genus?

Moved
Confirmed from specimen. Moved from Habrocerus.

Moved
Moved from Tachyporinae.

Right feeling
. . . you had! The antennae distinguish Tachyporinae and Habrocerinae - like this one. I guess there will be no other genus besides Habrocerus in your fauna?

Yes...
Habrocerus is our only genus, with three species being recorded in Canada including the Holarctic capill*iaricornis.

It is
indeed Habrocerus.
