Size: ~ 3 mm
ID based on general appearance and Boris' descriptions in his comments on other images for this genus.
The CNC Checklist (PDF File) lists two species for Canada, both of which occurs in Ontario.

Moved from Falagria. to new species page. Single species in N-America.

still, I see no sulcus
. . . well developed in Falagria and (former subgenus) Myrmecocephala. If you also can´t find it, then it´s Cordalia.

 
Boris, I think you may be right
on this possibly being Cordalia. I see no well-developed sulcus.

pronotum longitudinally sulcate?
can´t see it on the image. If not so, I´d vote for Cordalia obscura.

 
The beetle was drying itself when I took
this photograph. Perhaps the pronotum was still wet so that I saw it in the wrong light. I have posted another image of the same species (might be a different individual) ... see if that helps any.
