These guys tend to stick to the surface film whenever they contact water, so I think they must be quite plentyful in flotsam. On that note,
how is the flotsam count turning out?

 
27 beetle families
I haven't bothered with a species or specimen count. I'm just shooting, shooting, shooting, adding to my horrific backlog of images to process and post.
