Parasitized flea beetle? - Gastrophysa cyanea - female

Parasitized flea beetle? - Gastrophysa cyanea - Female
Brazos Bend State Park, Texas, USA
May 5, 2007
Size: ~5 mm

no, gravid leaf beetle
Size and appearance point towards genus Gastrophysa (Chrysomelinae). Which plant was it on? If Polygonaceae, ID is safe, and then I´d say it´s a new species for the guide,

which other species
Which other species are you referring to Boris. The blue colour is also common in cyanea. Uniformly green or blue metallic

if YOU say that . . .
I was not referring to a certain species - was just a guess. If you say this can´t be anything than G.cyanea - you are the expert!
