Oak Tree hopper -
Platycotis vittata
Summerfield, Guildford County, North Carolina, USA
June 12, 2015
My first time seeing one and after some searching on BG, I believe to be a Oak Treehopper (Platycotis vittata) and would like a confirmation.
This tree hopper was sitting on a Maple leaf soaking up the sun at eye level along the woods edge behind our home.

Yes; and I would like permission to copy this photo for use in a scientific publication. If you agree, I will need to know where you are (town or home or business)to properly credit you.
