Long-horned bee (Eucerini) - Eucera rosae - male

Long-horned bee (Eucerini) - Eucera rosae - Male
Searcy County, Arkansas, USA
May 8, 2007
Long-horned bee, tribe Eucerini? Perhaps Genus Synhalonia?

Moved

Eucera rosae male
note fulvous pubescence. This seems to be the first record for Arkansas. This species has been underrecorded due to confusion with the very similar atriventris.

Thank you, Dr. Ascher
I appreciate the ID.

Moved
Moved from Synhalonia.

Yes; probably.
Definitely a male Eucerini. Should be Synhalonia if the antennae are entirely black.

Black Antennae
Yes, the antennae were entirely black. Thanks for helping with the ID.
