I would appreciate is someone tell me the difference between mallow bee and leafcutter bee? The white rings on abdomen looks kind of same to me so I am always confused between these two.

Common Name Terms!
Anita, Mallow Bees are several types that often visit the Globe Mallow plants and other plants. Many of them are Chimney Bees and other types of bees. Leaf-cutter Bee is a common name for many bee types in the specific family Megachilidae. They get the name from the usage of cut leaf segments, in the nest-building construction. I hope that this helps you to understand the terms. Thanks

Thank you.
Thank you for the details. I do know that even the same species can have different common names in different places. I did not know the reason behind the name of leaf-cutter bees, it's interesting. Thank you again :)
