Morbid Owlet - Chytolita morbidalis
Massapequa Preserve, Nassau County, New York, USA

Can this be identified from this photo or is it too worn?

Moved to Chytolita morbidalis
Moved from Zanclognatha.

Though note well defined, the st. line is not very straight and is composed of spots.

Moved from Litter Moths.

Zanclognatha sp
probably cruralis or obscuripennis (which can't be separated by photos). But the ST line is worn away and not visible in this photo, so can't be sure. In either of these two species it should go all the way to the costal margin.
