Hello John,

I am sure you know this is Genus Heterocampa, but I cannot tell if it is H. subrotata or H. biundata. The information page did not help me with size. Most Heterocampas in my area are fairly large. I DO have the H. subrotata in Campwood and it is comparatively small - never over 18 mm and sometimes smaller. I don't have H. biundata. Do you remember anything about size?

Thanks Anne
for checking this out.

I wish I would've measured it. I do when I'm at home and they don't fly off before I getta chance, but in this case I was at this event taking hundreds of pix and not able to log measurements. However ... Just going on my recollection, my estimate would be around 20mm. It wasn't real large.

If your size guestimate is correct, it would support the fact that I was leaning toward H. biundata, but that was just a guess.
