Buprestid -
Acmaeodera adenostomae
Triunfo Creek Park (Pentachaeta Trail), Ventura County, California, USA
June 18, 2015
A common species here, really curious what it is. They seem consistent with little to no variation in markings, so suspect only one species.

I just finished correcting this one on iNaturalist. See here for my comments regarding the change in ID:

Usually associated with chamise.

Makes sense!
It is of course on chamise in the photo, and it is a widespread plant. There are at least 5 Acmaeodera present at the site, not including unidentified species of which there may be as many as 3 or as little as 1. Fantastic seeing them all together on the same plant sometimes.
I'll post the remaining Acmaeodera in the coming days.
