Perdita pelargoides - male

Perdita pelargoides - Male
Robert J. Bernard Biological Field Station, Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA
June 2, 2015
Size: 3.5 mm
Thanks to Nancy Hamlett who lured me out to Claremont to look at some burrowing bees. They turned out to be Diadasia visiting flowers of Opuntia littoralis. But there were bunches of Eriastrum sapphirinum in flower...How can one refuse so much 'eye candy' and promises of seeing their visitors.
My early guess at species was confirmed by Doug Yanega based on photos of male specimens. Will post those soon.
First a couple of field photos in Eriastrum sapphirinum

Oops again -
Should have put it here to begin with.
Moved from Subgenus Glossoperdita.
