Metallic Green Sweat Bee - Augochlora pura - female

Metallic Green Sweat Bee - Augochlora pura - Female
Pocantico Hills, Westchester County, New York, USA
September 19, 2014
Size: est 5 mm
Is this augochlorella aurata? Seemed too small to be augochlora pura. This was a very tiny bee, barely 5 mm. Feeding on Bottlebrush Buckeye (Aesculus parviflora - hence the red pollen). Is there any rule of thumb for distinguishing Augochlorella aurata from augochlora with the naked eye?
