Bee on Phacelia #1 - Dufourea
Bernard Field Station, Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA

The first of three bees that were among a whole bunch of bees on Phacelia distans in sage scrub at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. The bees were small, very zippy, and in the shade, so it was difficult to get decent photos, but any information at all will be greatly appreciated!
