Info Please
Hi Tom - Could you tell me who identified this and/or what the source was that was used for identification? I'm guessing it was McGuffin, 1977, which unfortunately is not a free download.

I checked BOLD data and there are only two BIN clusters for Eufidonia. One of them, BOLD:ACO9887, has only specimens identified as discospilata in it. The other, BOLD:AAA6717, contains discospilata, convergaria and notataria specimens with most identified as convergaria. I assume the discospilata specimens are misidentified as the two BINs are clearly separate and this species has always been regarded as separate whereas the other two have been regarded by some as synonyms. A look at the TaxonID tree for BOLD:AAA6717 does not show the species grouped. I take that to mean that at least some of the remaining species are misidentified and/or they are not genetically different enough to be separated as shown.
