Trypoxylon nest? - Trypoxylon politum

Trypoxylon nest? - Trypoxylon politum
Ames, Story County, Iowa, USA
May 10, 2007
Found under an overpass by a stream, about 20 feet up... can this be IDed to a group or species?

Moved
Moved from Crabronidae.

T. politum.
The only species of Trypoxylon in North America to make free-standing mud structures is T. politum, the pipe organ mud dauber. Nice image.
