Quandry - Anelaphus formerly-parallelus-maybe-undescribed - Male

Size: 1.5 cm
I'm in a quandry here. These beetles started showing up this week. Fits the profile of Anelaphus parallelus. No problem there. At the same time, larger beetles showed up and now I find them mating. Quandry is that the larger beetles are 2.5 to 3 cm long.

This specimen does appear to be Anelaphus parallelus...
The female you picture may instead be A. villosus, while the mating pair appears to be A. pumilus. All three species occur together and look very similar to each other.
