I saw this guy in direct daylight at around 7 pm walking across my dirt driveway on a very warm day. I measured the spot he stopped and started on my hand and with a straight line, it was 5". He might be longer as he is curved some in the photo. I read that the Desert Millipedes don't exceed 10 centimeters, but I can't find a millipede with the reddish brown coloring that is THIS large in the desert. Could it be some sort of Parajulidae? Any ideas? I released him in my garden.
