I don't see Phyllophaga prunina on the guide for South Carolina (1)--I had hopes that was one as well.

I'm clueless
Well, I just don't know how to use the keys for that genus--I looked at them in Phil's book (1) and could not get to square one. My recollection is that all sort of tiny technical characters, with which I am not familiar, are required. I tried to look at descriptions, searching for size and that peculiar gray pubescence, and I could get nowhere that way either. Perhaps Phil will chime in.
