Neat eye pattern - Hermetia illucens

Neat eye pattern - Hermetia illucens
Dallas, Paulding County, Georgia, USA
June 28, 2015
Spotted on my trash cans as I working in the yard...I'm assuming it's some sort of fly ?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Looks like Hermetia illucens (Stratiomyidae)
Many soldier flies have interesting eye patterns.

I'm not an expert, just my 2 cents worth.
