Cerceris sextoides? - Cerceris sextoides - male

Cerceris sextoides? - Cerceris sextoides - Male
Santa Cruz, RMG, Santa Cruz County, California, USA
June 18, 2015
You never know what's going to show up at the carrots! You can see a distinct fringe at the posterior end of each abdominal segment (more easily in the second shot).

I'm pretty sure this a male.
==============================

As far as I can tell this is Cerceris male, possibly sextoides, however, I'm adding a third photo because it is an angle the shows and interesting structure in between, and separating the two antennae at their base. When seen from the front it doesn't stand out as much as it does from this angle.
