Range and antennae coloration
P. floria is only currently known from the west and south of the United States, so range was a fairly easy way to differentiate between the two in this case. The only visual method of differentiation between the two that doesn't require the use of a scanning electron microscope is the degree of banding in the antennae. P. pruinosus have large areas of the antennae covered in white, like can be seen here, whereas P. floria have just a small amount of white.
