Small Magpie - Anania hortulata

Small Magpie - Anania hortulata
London, Ontario, Canada
June 14, 2004
On nettle leaf (I think) beside Thames River. Another introduced European species but I couldn't find North American range info on the web, other than it occurs in Ontario and British Columbia. Any info appreciated.

Wow...
If it is a introduced species, then it is definitley spreading...I have shots of this species as well from here in Massachusetts, I never posted them 'cause I couldn't figure out what it was...I'll try to find those pics and get them uploaded.
