Forgive the leg blur, it was in motion - but I did get a good view of the shape pattern of the thorax & the pointed abdomen.

Very nice. Dr. Gibson has mentioned previously that this is the only NA chalcid with raptorial front legs.

After reading the food section for the Genus here on Bugguide as "various beetles, notably wood-boring (Buprestidae, Scolytinae)", the discovery location makes perfect sense!!
Where I parked the car, there's a pair of Pine trees on one side and a big old Ash that's been ravaged by Emerald Ash Borers on the other.
