Recently found in southern Maryland - Dasymutilla quadriguttata
Callaway, St. Mary's County, Maryland, USA
July 6, 2015
Size: ~1 inch
Discovered this morning in the shower. Did some research and though it possibly a velvet ant(cow killer), although the color variation is different and my discovery was not hairy and had a hard exoskeleton. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
