Male prepupae (Right) are 0.8 to 1.0 mm (0.03 to 0.04 inch) long, 0.3 to 0.5 mm (0.012 to 0.02 inch) wide (n=20), and male pupae (Left) are 1.0 to 1.3 mm (0.04 to 0.05 inch) long and 0.4 to 0.6 mm (0.016 to 0.024 inch) wide (n = 20). Both are pink, non-feeding and immobile. Molting once from male prepupae, male pupae have distinct blackish wing part.
