Identification
first metasomal segment (petiole) long, narrow, tube-like, similar to

occipital carina either absent or if present, incomplete dorsally
wings with fore wing vein 3RS abruptly curving apically to intersect with the costal vein near the stigma and far from the wing apex. fore wing cells either complete, veins fully sclerotized, or as in this figure (some veins missing, incomplete, and/or spectral). Cosmopolitan except Australia
Food
late stage nymphs and adults of
Miridae (plant bugs).
Life Cycle
Solitary koinobiont endoparasitoids.

Remarks
Closely similar to euphorine genus
Peristenus. Can be separated from
Peristenus by:
occipital carina absent or incomplete dorsally (complete in Peristenus)
some fore wing veins often incomplete, absent, and/or spectral, thus marginal and discal cells often open apically (always complete in Peristenus)
petiole with tergum (dorsal side) and sternum (ventral side) separated by a suture (fused in Peristenus)
