Moved
Moved from ID Request.

You might contact Odonata Central
and see what they think. They may be interested in this record if we are correct.

Looks like Thornbush

but we thought that species was in Texas??
Will keep looking and see what we find.

Record Confirmed!
Thanks again for suggesting this identification. I submitted it to Odonata Central and they confirmed the ID as Thornbush Dasher. There are Arkansas records and don't know if this was a storm tossed one or what. But it's a new record for Tennessee.

Gosh, it does look like that
Gosh, it does look like that species! Even to the two small marks on the thorax just in front of the wing. Could that be??

Looks like the records extend
Looks like the records extend through Arkansas, so may be possible. Thanks very much for your input and let me know if you find anything else.

Possible Thornbush Dasher
I've added two more images I made today that show a more frontal view of the thorax.
