Dolomedes tenebrosus
very similar to wolves, but a different family , the Pisauridae

Very cool! Did not know that. A Fishing Spider would have been my other guess! ;) Thanks for your help! They do look similar!! :)

 
and go figure
several species of "fishers" do just fine well away from any water source
