Tonopah Desert, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA

Size: 17mm
These are images of a Bee Fly, that I believe is an Exoprosopa divisa. I tried to get some good wing and body shots and also a face shot.

ID info
The dark "T" shape on the center of the abdomen and the many small, bisected windows, in the paintings of the wings, seem to be reliable and distinctive features, that appear to be unique to this species.
All of the images presently on the BugGuide seem to be female, but I'm not sure about that yet. Based on Hartmut's image (below) and the large size and eye shapes, I'm guessing that my image is also a female:

First Sighting From Arizona for this Species!
:)

Moved for expert attention; nice pics
too bad all the images have been just sorted out, so yours will have to wait for the next expert visit; Joel makes his rounds about bi-monthly

Moved from ID Request.

btw, it's better not to repeat the same remarks under every image of the series; those that apply to all the pics belong with the original image, and you can put additional remarks regarding a specific image elsewhere as appropriate

Repeating text
V, I have several reasons for repeating the text and sometimes I will go back and add in notes or titles for specific images. Thanks for placing my Bee Fly into the family!
