Large Yellow Underwing? - Abagrotis magnicupida
Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA
July 10, 2015
I think this is a Large Yellow Underwing, but I did not see the hind-wing. If it is, it will be a July data point for RI.

Abagrotis cupida or A. magnicupida maybe - see ? Perhaps we should get Hugh McGuiness to take a look.

Not sureā€¦
Some of the HW is visible and doesn't seem vivid enough for this species. I think it's possible this is a lookalike.
