Size: aprox. 4mm
I am pretty sure that no identification can be made from this picture but I wonder what they are doing.
They are on the edge of a measuring cup in my kitchen.
Also is there a way to get them and their non winged friends to leave that will not harm then?

Dolichoderinae: Tapinoma
Odorous house ants, Tapinoma sessile. Alates are reared in spring, not uncommonly reared in nice warm wall spaces or window frames of folks' houses.

Probably not carpenter ants though. Not quite the right shape for those.
