Stick to Bactridium sp. right now. B. striolatum might be close, and D+A kinda ignored that species because Casey did. I'm getting to resolving that mess soon.

Probably yeah
Looks a little bigger than normal. It's a lot more subtle in some of these NA taxa than the Afrotropical and Oriental monos.

 
those are regular monsters indeed...
many Laemophloeus males also sport absurd heads, esp. in E/SE Asia
love those funny blokes
