Unknown fly? - Zagrammosoma centrolineatum
Agoura Hills, Los Angeles County, California, USA
July 15, 2015
Size: 1mm or less
Don't know how to describe this besides it is a tiny upright-standing fly. It also walks sideways.

The leaf is Quercus lobata (valley oak).

Zagrammosoma centrolineatum…
A nice find, James.

See reference here.

Very nice
Thanks for the identification. I realize how fortunate I was to see this little dot on the leaf when I walked past.
